Brian Hecker
WCAC Aquatics Director
Brian returns for his sixth season as the head coach for the WCAC program. He is an ASCA Level 2 Coach (American Swimming Coaches Association) and has worked with swimmers on the junior national level. Since joining the program, Brian has developed the team from 75 swimmers to over 175 swimmers, adding a pre-team program and most recently a diving team and USA swim program.
A Philadelphia native, Brian graduated high school from Chesnut Hill Academy and grew up swimming for Philadelphia Cricket Club. He participated in the Suburban Aquatic League for Upper Dublin and Abington. His coaching career began as an assistant at Cedarbrook Country Club ten years ago where he is now the head coach and pool director. Along the way, Brian spent his winters coaching at Springside Academy and Episcopal Academy where he is currently the assistant swim coach and water polo coach.
When not on the pool deck, Brian works as the webmaster for Episopal Academy.
Whitney Ehret
Diving Coach
Having launched its diving program just last year, Whitney Ehret returns to WCAC to serve as the team’s Head Diving Coach.
A native Philadelphian, Whitney grew up diving (and swimming) for Dolphin Aquatic Club and Philadelphia Cricket Club. The former captain of the William Penn Charter School swimming and diving squads, she earned All-InterAc league honors in both sports over multiple years. Whitney also trained at the prestigious L'Air Bergère Diving Club under former LaSalle University, University of Michigan and U.S. World Diving Team Head Coach, Chris Bergère.
After teaching and coaching both swimming and diving for years across the region, Whitney is currently the Head Diving Coach for Cedarbrook Country Club. And, when she’s not coaching, Whitney works in non-profit public relations and marketing, serving as the Director of Communications for the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness in Ambler, PA.
Shannon Rose - SAL Boys Head Coach
Shannon Rose is back for her third year at WCAC. This year she will be taking over as the Boys Head Coach along with helping with the US program. Shannon previously coached the Hatfield Swim Team during the summers from 2004-2006. Shannon gained experience as an All-State swimmer at North Penn High School and All-American at Shippensburg University. During the day, Shannon works as a COTA/L at Main Line Health.
Antoinette High - Assistant Coach
Antoinette returns for her second year as an assistant coach at WCAC. Antoinette will once again focus on the pre-team and stingray groups during the 2011-12 season. During the summers Antoinette is lucky enough to coach many WCAC families at Nor-Gwyn Aquatic Club. Antoinette grew up swimming at WCAC and Nor-Gwyn and was a Wissahickon High School Varsity swimmer for four years as well. In college (LaSalle '10), Antoinette played club Water Polo and received her degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics. During the day Antoinette is a substitute teacher.
Alison Pettine - Assistant Coach
WCAC is proud to have Alison join the staff this year. Alison is a veteran of the SAL as she grew up swimming with the North Penn Aquatic Club. Alison continued her swimming career at Souderton High School and Gettysburg College, where she was the captain in 2008. Alison works as the Alumni Relations Director at The American College in Bryn Mawr during the day.
Catey Nunnari - Assistant Coach
Catey comes back for her second year as an assistant with WCAC, although she has been a part of the program since she was 8 years old as a swimmer. Catey also spent time in the water at Cedarbrook Country Club, Gwynned Mercy High School and currently is a standout on the Arcadia University swim team. Catey is currently a Junior at Arcadia and spends her days going to class and swim practice.
Leo Draham - Assistant Coach
Leo is joining the WCAC coaching staff fresh out of graduation from Marist College in the spring. Leo spent four years at Marist swimming the 500, 1000 and 1650. In 2011 Leo served as a captain on the team. Leo grew up swimming for WCAC and graduated from Wissahickon High School in 2007. Currently, Leo is back in school in Psy.D program for clinical psychology at Chestnut Hill College.
